MTG Project Manager Overview

We are looking for Project Managers with 10+ years of consulting and/or industry experience in the oil and gas industry, chemicals industry or related industries. Project Managers are responsible for delivering all scopes of work for a delivery team, including process, organizational and management systems studies and analyses, process redesign, workshop facilitation, training and coaching to drive behavior change, and delivering agreed operational and financial benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering sustainable client results according to individual and workstream results plans
  • Engaging clients on critical business issues by creating relationships characterized by trust, credibility and mutual respect
  • Developing project proposals and plans, determining timelines, staffing requirements and resource allocation, and identifying and developing plans to mitigate project risks
  • Developing and managing execution of project and workstream plans, deliverables, milestones and results
  • Developing and delivering project status and milestone review reports to client business leaders and MTG management
  • Ensuring completion of analysis and implementation project activities and deliverables in accordance with project schedules and quality standards
  • Leveraging knowledge and technical skills in order to meet or exceed client needs and expectations
  • Providing highest quality formal and informal training and coaching of client managers and employees
  • Leading high-performing joint client/consultant teams, including providing performance feedback, mentoring and training of client and MTG team members
  • Identifying extension and expansion opportunities and working with MTG management to develop those opportunities into additional analyses and projects
  • Note: this position requires 100% overnight travel (Monday-Friday) to client sites

Qualifications

  • Candidates will have a track record of leading project teams in delivering operational improvements in their area of experience, and have appropriate experience using continuous improvement tools and approaches (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, FMEA, Kaizen, etc.)
  • Qualified candidates will have a relevant Bachelors Degree (advanced degree preferred), be proficient with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, and have good communication skills
