Vice President, Analysis Overview:

We are looking for a Vice President in our Analysis group who has the passion for Operational Consulting within the Oil & Gas and Chemicals industry.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading (Lead Analyst role) or occasionally assisting with (Support Analyst role) short term engagements, typically six to eight weeks long (a.k.a. Analyses), that lead to the sale of Implementation Projects
  • Responsible for leading and managing teams of varying size depending on scope, including mix of full time employees and contractors, in order to successfully deliver the outcomes of a typical Analysis
  • Responsible for closing deals as a result of an Analysis, including navigating the client decision making process, involving and interacting with decision-maker and influencers, and overseeing and preparing contracts
  • Responsible for providing the Operations teams with a solid project foundation that will ensure delivery success
  • Accountable for specific success metrics, including conversion rate of Analyses to Projects (a.k.a Go-Ahead rate), Project overall fee, and Project fee per unit of labor and time
  • Responsible for assisting with sales pursuits, including, but not limited to:
    • Sales meetings attendance where demonstration of expertise in selected area significantly helps progress opportunities in the sales funnel
    • Assisting in responses to Requests For Proposal
    • Conducting short, typically one week long, engagements (a.k.a. Scopings) designed to frame a client’s problem statement, plan and sell an analysis, develop initial client relationships and demonstrate credibility
  • Responsible for being an active member of the Analysis function, striving for continuous improvement in all aspects
  • Responsible for attrition and retention of talent
  • Responsible for people learning and development
  • Responsible for client service capability development
  • Experience working in a complex, global organization where working across boundaries, developing strong organizational relationship and leading through influence are keys to success

Qualifications

  • At least 10 years of experience in business and leadership
  • Management consulting experience required, with focus on performance improvement and Operations strongly preferred
  • Oil and Gas and/or Chemicals industry knowledge strongly preferred
  • Track record of success and promotion, including track record in Service Industry Sales
  • Driven, high energy, presence/gravitas, intelligent but practical, people person
  • Proven ability to attract talent
  • Demonstrable experience on targeting and selling thru networking
  • Master’s degree required, preferably in a business related field and advanced business degree is valued
  • Excellent analytical and research skills, attention to details, intellectual rigor
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Excellent business/commercial acumen and ability to relate to C-Suite concerns
  • Able to interact and influence at any level of a client organization, including Executives and Staff
  • Able to think outside of the box; innovative; flexible and decisive

Senior Consultant Overview:

We are looking for Senior Consultants with 5+ years of consulting and/or industry experience in oil and gas, chemicals or related industries. Senior Consultants are responsible for delivering specific scopes of work as part of a delivery team, including process, organizational and management systems studies and analyses, process redesign, workshop facilitation, training and coaching to drive behavior change, and delivering agreed operational and financial benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering sustainable client results according to individual and workstream results plans
  • Engaging clients on critical business issues by creating relationships characterized by trust, credibility and mutual respect
  • Completing analysis and implementation project activities and deliverables in accordance with project schedules and quality standards
  • Leveraging knowledge and technical skills in order to meet or exceed client needs and expectations
  • Providing highest quality formal and informal training and coaching of client managers and employees
  • Leading and being a member of high-performing joint client/consultant teams
  • Identifying extension and expansion opportunities and working with project leadership to develop those opportunities into additional analyses and projects

Project Manager Overview:

We are looking for Project Managers with 10+ years of consulting and/or industry experience in the oil and gas industry, chemicals industry or related industries. Project Managers are responsible for delivering all scopes of work for a delivery team, including process, organizational and management systems studies and analyses, process redesign, workshop facilitation, training and coaching to drive behavior change, and delivering agreed operational and financial benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering sustainable client results according to individual and workstream results plans
  • Engaging clients on critical business issues by creating relationships characterized by trust, credibility and mutual respect
  • Developing project proposals and plans, determining timelines, staffing requirements and resource allocation, and identifying and developing plans to mitigate project risks
  • Developing and managing execution of project and workstream plans, deliverables, milestones and results
  • Developing and delivering project status and milestone review reports to client business leaders and MTG management
  • Ensuring completion of analysis and implementation project activities and deliverables in accordance with project schedules and quality standards
  • Leveraging knowledge and technical skills in order to meet or exceed client needs and expectations
  • Providing highest quality formal and informal training and coaching of client managers and employees
  • Leading high-performing joint client/consultant teams, including providing performance feedback, mentoring and training of client and MTG team members

Candidate should have knowledge of refinery linear program optimization models, and intermediate and refined products specifications. Senior Consultants are responsible for delivering specific scopes of work as part of a delivery team, including process, organizational and management systems studies and analyses, process redesign, workshop facilitation, training and coaching to drive behavior change, and delivering agreed operational and financial benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Refinery capital project engineering and construction
  • Gasoline blending optimization
  • Petroleum measurement
